Saw this on a local breakfast blog I read and thought everyone here might enjoy it...

I've been a die hard fan of Iron Chef for many years and once in awhile a chef will incorporate the theme ingredient into a really offbeat ice cream (ex squid ink ice cream) - but this looks delicious...beautiful presentation too!

That ice cream sounds great! The dots of maple syrup are such a simple but brilliant garnish.

Slightly off-topic, but did anybody else have the "bacon and eggs" at Beckta a couple of years ago when Vardy was there? It was *so fantastic*. My friends and I spent a couple of minutes just staring at it in rapt admiration.
