picked up a couple of subs here today and agree it is a great deal and really tasty.

it through me off when they changed location as there old location also is a sub place, but not nearly as good - imho.

My favorite is the assorted sub.

This place is my favourite of the vietnamese sub shops. I came in here last weekend to get fed before a night of celebrating a friends birthday. I had the lemongrass chicken leg with rice. It was really good, nice bite but not too spicy, rice perfectly cooked. The hot food here is served with a simple garnish of sliced tomato and cucumber. The amount of chicken on the meal would have been not quite enough for a hungrier person, but I found the portion size perfect, and for the price $6.50, it was a healthy amount. Ask before ordering if you have allergies, some of the meats are marinated in shrimp paste.

Thanks, jpdaigle! Now I can finally "approve" this entry. I was waiting until the address resolved...

I've been here a few times. I'm mainly posting here because I figured I should write down the address, as Google Maps can't find it. It's at 780 Somerset W. (Very close to the Booth / Somerset intersection.)

Their subs are good and indeed very, very cheap. I find the shredded pork one pretty spicy by default, so it's worth asking them to tone down the heat a bit if that's not your thing.

thanks. i'm not sure if it's butter or some sort of spread that a lot of places put on it - but it adds that extra kick to the whole sandwich. i'll check out the assorted next time!

Try the assorted sub next time - that one definitely includes pate, cold cuts, and shredded pork. (also fish sauce, but I don't think any butter). I'm sure you can ask for it - the owner is a pretty obliging guy.

I got a shredded pork sub today and thought it was a little dry compared to most banh mi I've tried. I don't think they put any butter or pate on the baguette like they do at some other shops. For $2, I can't complain though. I'll try their banh mi thit next time, which has cold cuts instead of the shredded pork.

Does anyone know of any other banh mi in the city? Kim Khanh was my fav but unfortunately it closed down a few years ago. There's a place called May Lan a few doors down from Co Cham, which IMO has a better baguette.
