i like food. but, as a student, sometimes my love affairs must be sacrficed in lieu of rent and tuition, and of course, shopping, my other passion.

i have an adventurous pallete, which is shown more in my "to try" list, on account of a less than adventurous significant other, whom i love dearly, even if it means that we will never go out for sushi together. it's a sacrifice worth making (what else are spouses for?)

in addition to building my food repetoire in this town, i'm trying to build my knowledge of taking pictures of food, which means, hopefully i will have some wonderful photos to share with you soon.

in addition to food, i'm a fan of history (i took a course in history of alcohol last year, which was marvelous), ultimate frisbee (have to burn the calories somehow, right?), and discovering more of this wonderful city that i am so glad to finally call home.

also, i hate green peppers.

Hi! To answer your question, yes Zopf definitely does not have egg in it, whereas I understand egg is an important ingredient in Challah. Aside from their braided shape I don't think they have much in common.

I haven't tried Challah myself, but the recipes I can find suggest that it contains quite a bit of sugar (1/3 cup!). Zopf calls for only a tiny bit of sugar to feed the yeast. Any sweetness in the Zopf comes from the milk.

We do some cool stuff thats way different than anyone else. Ask about or action stations and interactive food menus. We can do plated dinners, or micro multiple course dinners so you eat through out the entire night. Good luck with your search.
