A fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. The chick is old enough to be recognizable as a baby duck and has bones that will be firm but tender when cooked.

Usually, it is accompanied by a mixture of lime juice and ground pepper.

 They have this at Divisoria, when I was in yesterday there was a flat of them sitting on the counter priced at $1.20 per. I'm not daring enough to try it, though.
